Could this be the future of childcare?

The number of children on daycare waiting lists in Japan is at its lowest in ten years according to government figures. But that number is still nearly 20,000 children

The Japanese government is trying to encourage more women to get back into work but a shortage of nursery workers has seen some nurseries turn to technology to help alleviate some of the work involving routine tasks.

One such robot is Vevo who helps out by greeting the kids in the morning, monitoring their nap times and how much they eat for lunch.

Could this be a solution replicated in countries around the world?
