How VR can help find how fires begin

How VR could help investigate fires

Scanning real fire damage and recreating it in viritual reality could make investigations into blazes more effective.

After a blaze, it is vital to find out how the fire started. Armed with this knowledge, fire investigators can possibly save lives and prevent property damage in the future.

Now, a virtual reality (VR) system created by the company RiVR can scan real fire damage and then re-create how the fire spread through a room or a building.

Now the software is being trialled to help train investigators so they can better understand how fires start and spread.
