When disaster strikes, finding trapped people quickly is often the difference between life and death. Could this tiny, flying robot be the answer?

Search and rescue efforts after major disasters are often a race against time.

Much research has gone into building tiny robots that could be able to squeeze into small spaces to check if any people are trapped there.

Now researchers from Delft University in the Netherlands have created a small flying robot, inspired by the way insects fly.

Could this be a search-and-rescue saviour of the future?
