Wind warning prompts changes to Surrey events
Organisers of Christmas events across Surrey are changing their plans due to concerns about the weather.
Painshill Gardens in Cobham will be closed on Saturday and Sunday due to the high winds forecast.
And Christmas festivities in Oxted have been scaled back, according to organisers.
A yellow warning for wind has been issued from 09:00 GMT on Saturday across south-east England.
The Met Office said strong winds due to Storm Bert were likely to cause "dangerous coastal conditions" and disruption.
Cranleigh's seasonal parade has been cancelled, but Father Christmas will still be there
Organisers said: "Local residents and the many visitors to Cranleigh will still be entertained by our hardy local musicians, as they will be performing on a purpose-built stage in Fountain Square."
A Festive Family Fun Day in Guildford on Sunday was still due to go ahead.
Guildford councillor Catherine Houston said as many activities as possible had been moved indoors.
She added: "It is all happening. Luckily we have got some indoor places people can go and hopefully the rain will stop for a little bit and people can get out and about."
The weather warning is in place across the county until 21:00 GMT on Sunday.
