Cyclist who died after crash was 'loving father'
A cyclist who died after a crash has been described as a loving father who was there for his family "through thick and thin".
Ozzy Savage, 55, was injured when his bicycle and a white Mercedes Sprinter van crashed at the junction of Bucknall New Road and Bucknall Old Road in Stoke-on-Trent on 16 December.
He was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment but died there on Wednesday.
Paying tribute to Mr Savage, formerly known as John Walker, his family said he was a "loving father, brother and uncle".
"He loved the outdoors and nature. He was always about on his push bike and he was always there for friends and family through thick and thin, whenever anyone needed help," they said.
"We are sad that he has passed but his memory will live on."
Staffordshire Police said they were continuing to investigate the incident and urged any witnesses or anyone with footage to get in touch.
