From 'shame' to superfood: Iceland's seaweed

Foodie Kate Hardie-Buckley travels to Reykjavik to meet Chef Fanney Dóra who experiments with traditional ingredients to create new flavours. Iceland's remoteness has meant locals have always had to get creative in sourcing and cooking their food and Chef Fanney sets Kate off on a scenic adventure to collect the most tasty produce. Kate tries her hand at salmon fishing in the West Ranga River, she forages for seaweed and visits a female-run brewery before her cooking lesson. On the menu: Salmon with dulse seaweed and local, pickled vegetables.

In the second series of A Taste of the City, Kate continues her culinary adventure to meet innovative chefs and food producers in Baku, Malaga, Glasgow and Reykjavik.
