A dog has been rescued after falling 15ft (4.5m) down a cliff onto a ledge.

Members of the Coastguard Rescue Teams (CRT) from Beer and Exmouth in Devon were called to Orcombe at 12:57 GMT on Tuesday.

Rescuers had to cut their way through thick bracken and use ropes to get down to the dog, named Cooper, who was returned to his owners uninjured.

In a post on Beer CRT's Facebook page, the team warned: "When near the cliff edge, please keep your dog on a lead."
