James Arthur and Placebo to headline Bristol Sounds
Rock band Placebo and singer James Arthur have been announced as the latest headliners in a summer concert series.
Both acts will perform at Bristol Sounds, which returns to the city's harbourside in June.
They are among the latest artists lined-up for the annual event which attracts thousands of music fans.
Event promoter, Conal Dodds, said it was a "festival for the people of Bristol".
"Each year we like to curate a programme that will catch the attention of everyone and anyone.
"It's such an eclectic mix of genres and gigs," he added.
The likes of Skindred, The Breeders, Gentleman's Dub Club and The Skints are among the performers who will be on stage when Bristol Sounds returns to the Bristol Amphitheatre from Saturday, 22 June to Sunday, 30 June.
James Arthur will headline this year's event on 26 June and Placebo are performing on 28 June.
The organisers said special guests and support artists will soon be announced for both nights.
"We can't wait to watch the crowd's reactions as their favourite artists take to the most incredible stage in the city," said Mr Dodds.
Bristol Sounds has become a feature of the city's summer calendar in recent years.
More than 20,000 people flocked to the harbourside concerts in 2023 when artists such as Mika, James, Levellers and Self Esteem played over five nights of live music.
