Ports of Jersey said delays to afternoon flights were expected but passengers should still check in on time

An electrical fire closed Jersey Airport on Saturday morning, Ports of Jersey (POJ) has confirmed.

Jersey Airport was evacuated at 10:40 BST due to a "small electrical fire" which has since been dealt with, POJ said.

More than 200 passengers and staff have since been allowed back into the building.

POJ said delays to afternoon flights were expected but passengers should still check in on time.
