A teenager injured in an e-bike crash in Leicester has died in hospital, police have said.

The 17-year-was hurt when his vehicle hit a wall in Gipsy Lane in the early hours of 10 July and officers have now said he died on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old boy – also believed to be riding an e-bike – was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and was later released under investigation.

Two other teenagers – aged 17 and 16 – were later arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and were also released under investigation.
