Dispersal order issued ahead of Oxford v Millwall
A dispersal order has been issued by police ahead of the match between Oxford United and Millwall on Saturday.
Thames Valley Police said it would undertake "a highly visible and robust policing operation" to ensure the safety of fans and Oxford's communities.
The Section 35 order is focused on parts of the centre of Oxford, as well as Blackbird Leys and Littlemore near the Kassam Stadium.
It gives officers the power to disperse individuals or groups of people, and will be in place from 09:00 until 21:00 GMT.
Football spotters, mounted officers, police dogs and drones will also be deployed.
Supt Adrian Hall, strategic commander for the Oxford United home game, said the orders were in place "solely as a preventative measure for any anti-social behaviour or disorder which takes place surrounding the game".
“The majority of people attending this game will be there to enjoy the football and our officers will be there throughout the day and on hand to answer any questions or concerns you may have," he said.
