Man caught with £1m of Class A drugs jailed
A drug dealer has been jailed for more than 11 years after he was found with a stash of drugs and cash in his home.
Ifsar Gulzar, of Durkhill Road in Bradford, was arrested after police executed a warrant on 26 February. Officers found Class A drugs worth nearly £1m and £35,000 in cash.
Gulzar, 26, admitted three counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs - namely crack, cocaine and heroin - possessing criminal property and money laundering.
At Bradford Crown Court on 6 December, he was jailed for 11 years and 10 months.
Det Insp Helen Chapman of Bradford's Precision Team said: "We welcome the lengthy sentence handed down to Gulzar.
"He had a significant role in fuelling streets across Bradford with drugs.
"This operation shows our commitment to tackling serious and organised crime across the district.
"My team have taken a significant amount of drugs off the streets which will make our communities safer.
"We regularly see the harm that Class A drugs cause both to the induvial users and to our communities where they fuel crime and anti-social behaviour that impacts on ordinary people's lives.
"We hope this significant prison sentence will serve to reassure the community and send a very clear message to those who think they can get away with profiting from this criminal trade."
