Flood warnings remain as people left stranded
Flood warnings are still in place in parts of Yorkshire after heavy rain left people needing to be rescued by emergency crews.
The warnings, which indicate that flooding is expected, apply to the River Ouse in the York area.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (NYFRS) said it had been called out to various flooding incidents in areas including Harrogate, York and Tadcaster.
In West Yorkshire, warnings remain in place for the River Aire at Cottingley and Allerton Ings in Castleford.
The A659 Tadcaster Bridge was closed due to high river levels but has since reopened, North Yorkshire Council confirmed.
Cattal Bridge remains closed along with routes including Sharrow Lane in Ripon.
NYFRS said crews responded to a vehicle being stuck in flood water in Acomb, York, at about 18:00 GMT on Wednesday, with the driver assisted to safety.
Tadcaster and Selby's rescue boat was used to rescue three adults who were left stranded by flooding in Tadcaster at 18:40 on Wednesday.
Helen Batt, from the Environment Agency, said: "While the weather might be calming down and the rain might be stopping, rivers are continuing to respond, so we need people to be aware."
Other road closures include the A59 at Blubberhouses due to a landslip from Church Hill to Kex Gill Road, as well as the A684 at Scruton.
