Man bailed in A5 fatal crash investigation

A 66 year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash in Shropshire has been released on bail.

A lorry and four cars crashed on the westbound carriageway of the A5 between Shrewsbury and Telford at about 07:00 GMT on Monday.

A man in his 30s, who was a passenger in one of the cars, died at the scene. Three others were taken to hospital.

West Mercia Police appealed for anyone with dashcam footage or who saw what happened to contact them.
