Last chance to have say on 101-home development
Residents are being urged to have their say on the final day of consultation for a 101-home development in East Sussex.
An initial proposal for the dwellings north of Hangleton Lane in Benfield Valley, Hove, included the demolition of derelict cottages and creation of a community hub facility.
In December, amendments to the layout, landscaping and ecological mitigation were made to the application.
A public consultation on the changes is to close on Friday.
The revised layout includes moving the scheme further away from the south-west boundary of the site to avoid protected trees, the council said.
One of the blocks of flats has also been raised a storey higher in the south-west corner in the application.
The initial proposal, submitted by Benfield Property Ltd and Benfield Investments Ltd, was for predominantly three-bed family houses and some flats.
It said it would also deliver 40% affordable housing overall.
As part of the community hub, a café and footgolf facilities were to be created, as well as four workshops, allotments and orchards.
The public can view the application on Brighton & Hove City Council's online planning register and give their feedback.
Once the consultation has closed and the revised proposal has been assessed, the scheme will be discussed at a planning committee meeting, where councillors will make a decision.
