A man has been robbed at knife-point after an intruder broke in and demanded he hand over his car keys and Rolex watch.

Gloucestershire Police were alerted to a break-in at a property in the village of Paxford, near Chipping Campden, at around 03:45 GMT on Monday.

The thief grabbed a knife from the kitchen after being confronted by the occupant of the home. The suspect then made threats with the weapon before fleeing the scene.

The stolen items have not yet been located, and anyone who has information on their whereabouts or the identity of the intruder is urged to come forward.

The victim's car is described as a blue Volkswagen Golf with the registration GC65 VCZ.

Police believe there was a second man waiting outside, as the stolen car was seen being driven in convoy with a blue BMW in the direction of nearby Blockley.

Officers managed to locate the BMW and used a stinger device to deflate its tyres.

It was later found abandoned and has since been seized in order for forensic tests to take place.

House to house enquiries have been conducted and officers are keen to hear from anyone who has CCTV, dashcam footage or information which could aid their investigation.
